About the School
The Thacher School in Ojai, California, provides an ideal setting for teachers to focus on learning free from life’s daily demands. Living and working in a quiet setting overlooking scenic Ojai, participants find the intensity of academic learning balanced by special opportunities for creative reflection. At TTTC, the technology blends perfectly with the people—and with each participant’s personal goals for bridging the achievement gap.
With the informal, comfortable setting that the Thacher campus provides, the accessibility of our presenters, and your own initiative, a great deal of creative productivity and idea-sharing will happen during the week. Classes with expert instructors give participants many ideas and skills. Mealtime, pool time, a doubles tennis match, or a hearty walk along the many trails behind campus, for example, will provide opportunities for informal collaboration.
This special summer session is for teachers who are available to attend this conference in a retreat-like atmosphere at The Thacher School in Ojai, California. Initially it will require a week-long f2f (7/13-18) residential at Thacher and depending on the program selected the residential will be followed by additional f2f and online sessions. Room and board will be provided by the Instructional Technology Branch. Attendee must find own transportation. Visit the TTTC website for more information on directions (http://tttc.org). Cost of transportation to and from The Thacher School is the responsibility of the participant.Parking is limited. Car-pooling is encouraged.
